Seats
Most 3 wheel double buggies start as single pushchairs. However, some can be converted to accept a second seat with adapters. Some models allow you to add an extra board to older children who are ready to walk, but still need some help.
For a lightweight option that's great for urban streets, look into the Joie Evalite Duo. It's easy to move and has a large basket that is full of storage. It can accommodate twins starting at birth and accepts two car seats, or a carrycot with a seat. The seats have to face forward and there is no space for an item under the seat. You will need an additional side bag.
Mountain Buggy Duet will be the best choice if you enjoy off-road driving. It's a side-by- tandem with the most compact footprint of any double buggy available. It's much easier to get through narrow doors on public transport, and to climb over and over kerbs. The adjustable handlebar has an additional handbrake for safety and security.
The UPPAbaby vista 2 double is another lightweight option that can be used by twins or a baby and toddler. The seats can be reclining in multiple positions with UPF 50plus sunshades. The canopy can be adjusted so that the sun does not get into your child's eyes. The Vista 2 can be converted into an UPPAbaby triple by incorporating UPPAbaby's "PiggyBack" board, which is designed for older children.
The iCandy Orange double buggies are among the most well-known on the market. This is due to their exceptional comfort. It's a true all-terrain pushchair with a soft suspension that makes easy work of bumpy surfaces. It can accommodate up to 30 seating configurations and has a built-in ride-on board for older children who prefer to walk, and a 'cinema seating' mode that raises the back seat to improve visibility.
Alternately, the phil&teds dots is a great single buggy that is available from day one that is able to easily be adapted to take 2 (or 3!) Different configurations are possible. This is especially useful when you have a child in a car seat, as the frame can be equipped with a wedgie for optimum lie-flat positioning, or car seat adapters for many brands.
Suspension
The suspension of a triple wheeled buggy will determine how easy you and your child/children can push it. A smooth ride is vital since babies can feel every bump on the road, especially if it's on rough terrain like grass or dirt roads. Some models come with locking front tires that aid in maneuvering and navigating obstacles like curbs.
Some models have air-filled tyres that are great for all-terrain riding, but they can be prone punctures. Be sure to keep an extra set of tyres inside the trunk. Certain models come with gel-filled or foam-filled tyres that are designed to cushion bumps. They can be less likely to puncture, but they may be uncomfortable for your child should you decide to run.

Folding
A 3 wheel double buggy folds quite neatly for storage. There are 3 wheeler pushchair that fold flat and stand up (as when they were in a pushchair) and also those that pop open to reveal more of an umbrella-like fold that has a hand-operated brake. In general the more wheels a buggy has, the easier it will be to navigate over rough terrain. This is particularly true if your wheels are larger than the average size. You will have more stability and it's less likely that you will need to flip or tip your child.
A popular option is the iCandy Wave, which can be used as early as birth with an infant car seat and then converts to a side-by-side double buggy when your child is old enough for them to be seated next to each one. It is a lightweight option that is simple to push. It also comes with a bumper bar and a raincover.
Another alternative is the phil&teds sport which is future-proof since it's great as a single buggy from day dot and then adapts to take two (or even 3!) All of this is incorporated into its compact footprint. It has a clever three-wheel design with a sling for greater maneuverability and stability.
This is one of the best double buggies for jogging with your kids. It has a lockable front wheel which will help you maintain control on hills or off-road terrain. It has a large undercarriage, a movable handlebar, and soft suspension for an enjoyable ride.
It's a light compact and compact option that folds easily with one hand. It's perfect for traveling. It's compatible with a wide range of infant car seats and has an easy-to-pull-out undercarriage bag that can be used to stash things to shop. Stores
Many people are impressed by the storage capacity of a triple-wheeled buggy. Some models, such as the Roma Atlas, have a large basket, as well as two zip pockets on the hood where you can store your phone and keys. It is also designed to handle slightly rough terrain making it a good option for family walks and all-terrain hikes.

Its clever frame expands widthways to accommodate the extra seat but it still only weighs about 11kg, making it easy to lift and maneuver. It can be used with a car seat, carrycot, or both. This allows you to get the best of all worlds.
